omg, time really flies in a twinkling of an eye for the past few days, and its really disappointing to find the stubborn dust(s) which insist to remain on my holiday homework... haha its sounds like an ignorant youth who continues to live in his own world, and refuse to admit it's his fault for not clearing the dust. argh crap.. but at least i did attempt to clear it, but it's just too late to clear most. i just realised that i am screwed, and a last minute struggle is truly pivotal before i start suffocating and lose pace at the dawn of 2009.

30/12/2008- The day right after i landed in Singapore, i was cordially invited by the slightly-less desperate rex for a mugging session, which i inevitably accepted since i am already in dire straits. We planned to meet up in Coffee Bean, only to my horror, that i saw this...

Oh man, discrimination against students.... Kind of shock to realise that they actually put up this notice and when I asked their manager, they have confirmed that there is strictly no studying allowed in Coffee Bean because they are a restaurant and seats were reserved for their customers, and not for students even if they bought a drink.

Argh nvm, at least i have not seen such notices in Starbucks or other fast-food chains. We went on to study in mac, and completed up to inequalities for math.. that's all. And according to SWK, i am 3/11 through. Hahah, i realised i am seriously screwed when i attempted to flip through bio,econs and GP homework. Aw man, i will try to salvage the situation for the next few days.. by locking myself up :(

31/12/2008- Went to popular to stock my equipments for the battle of the year. Oh yea, i got myself a planner too so as to better organise one of the most important year in my life; prospects for year2009 will be left to the other posts. Oh yea, with equipments fully prepared, i am proud to say that i am ready, to conquer the first obstacle, holiday homework. pork

hahah, it's this famous phrase again. The next 364 days will be a long and arduous journey, and without doubt, rest is important. Hahah, today i went to change a new pair of (mugging) spectacles and then went to Jurong Point, only to be squeezed in crazy crowds of people, who really went berserk in sales everywhere. My dad was still commenting like, "It doesn't seems that Singapore is facing a recession...".

And i got myself new underwears, 1 black, 2 white and 3 RED for the prosperous year ahead!

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

Wohoo, once again its another year of countdown celebrations at my cousin's house until around 12.30AM before we made our way back home. Hahah, i am really contented to have such close budding cousins, who lived like just a street away, to count on for all forms of celebrations and outings. 2008 was once of my best year in my 17 years legacy, one that turned out really packed and enriching.

As usual, we spend our time gambling (mahjong and cards) while waiting for the 12.00AM mark to arrive. Time really flies while we had fun, and everyone just stood up on 364:12:31:11:59:50 for the last 10 seconds to tick and at that very moment, everyone just burst into screams and congratulated each other. Hahah, history just repeats every year so kind of like.."oh well, we did it yet again with the same people just that everyone is one year older"

And then guess what, I was so high that i just flipped open my 2 cards, an ACE+ a SEVEN *we are playing blackjack then*. Then i took another card 9 (1+7+9=17), then i was like... "how about testing my luck for 2009?", and i took another card...

IT WAS A 4! :)

ello everybody!!

haha wohoho, I am finally back after my "1-month-overseas-immersion-December-program". It was a really great fulfilling one month, knowing people whom you will keep closely connected, understanding the vibrant culture of people from 2 opposing countries, getting exposed and no doubt, having fun.

Now that i am finally back, I believe that there is a strong need to pen down most of my experiences (hopefully before 2008 ends), prepare my aims and plans for year 2009, and welcome one of the most important year of my life- 2009, when i cross-road with the A' levels.

It has been a great year, and i will update here tmr :)

Detailed Report: Metrobrain

This post is dedicated to metrobrain, and hopefully, they won't be elaboration on him for my future posts. I had enough of him and as long as metrobrain is concerned, it will be best if he stays out of my life. This detailed report is part of my 2 weeks silicon valley research and I hope it will give people what I know about him, and what others should know about him because his real true colours may not be known to many.

Conclusion: A real hypocrite and really metro indeed.

I hope i don't delve into too much details because it really gets very private and I don't wish to worsen this seemingly close relationship. I will just write what i thing is the most appropriate to put up here. Apart from being a real hypocrite with his 24 hour fake smile glued on his face (perhaps 4A peeps may know much about this), I have identified a few others which I am extremely displeased with.

1. Backstabber and Bootlicker

A man, renowned for his backstabbing skills, I don't think there is a need to elaborate much on this. He got this really crude double-d sword that allows him to thrive in this highly competitive school life, especially whenpolitics come into play. It just feels really subconscious when you get backstabbed but this incident really remain vividly etched in me.

Well many knew that my teacher injured herself in San Francisco and apparently, it was a saturday and the really small "hospital" doesn't provide any medication. So 2 of us actually walked really a long way to find the pharmacy, asked for the medicine, and I paid for it because he said he doesn't have cash... (a point which is really doubtful given that he can spend so much on shopping and food later on). After which, we made our way to Subway while i get my dinner and you know what he did? He actually left his Macy's shopping bags with me, took the bag of medicine with him and walked back to where the teacher is, claiming all the credit that he took so long to find the pharmacy, paid for it and got it back for her. While I was framed as the slacker who is just concerned about his dinner. Totally wtf.

And yea... he is a really great metro-shopper. (2 pieces of luggage, both 22+ kg) Limit is 23kg each btw.

2. Slacker

Perhaps, people like Samuel can be brainwashed by him that i am a slacker and leecher in RevTech, but I will just like to testify that I enter RevTech because of many reasons and he actually approached me, instead of the other way round. And i was one of the 3 groups who were recommended by Mrs.Har to join BBI, and that's how things get started in the first place. I am really grateful and truly understands what does it mean by "Opportunity breeds opportunity".

Besides the point, metrobrain is the No.1 slacker in RevTech because basically, I have no idea what he had contributed apart from this is his sec.4 project. And from what i understands, khang wen is the one who really put in a lot of effort into this project and metrobrain was already being labelled as the slacker in RevTech back then and was eligible for expulsion.

My research from external credible sources have also reassured my argument when the chairperson of gloforyouth complained that metrobrain contributed almost nothing in this project (except for his million dollar smile). He also remains almost completely annoymous in network despite being appointed as vic-chairman. Many others who have worked with him shared similar consensus too.

3. As an individual, he is equally irritating and disgusting.

- His accent

- His eye

It gets really private and do ask me personally if you really wants to know more about my amazing discoveries :)

In conclusion, my experience working with him really soured and ailed. As a friend, he can cover all his misdeeds wit his seemingly cool accent, captivating smile and even his enthusiastic replies. But I really want to send out a warning to people who really wants to get close to him, beware of his knife, that may just stabbed into your back unknowingly.

Its like 6.20AM in the Morning and yesterday marked the end of all my company visits in Silicon Valley. Hearing true stories from different entrepreneurs, some with similar lessons learnt while others with their unique enthralling journey, deeply inspired me and gave me a great eye-opener about the American Culture especially that of the Silicon Valley. Most importantly, its really great to know a great bunch of NUS students and time spent were never better than with you all...

I couldn't imagine that I just slumped into a good sleep on the sofa after a session of basketball and a talk-cock time which is supposedly mirrored to that of American's Friday part and clubbing culture. Time has flown slow and fast throughout the this trip, and I have mixed feelings for the people I went with and the people i met along the way. Tmr will be gilroy shopping day and the day after I will be flying back :)

I am confused as to whether i should be looking forward to the end, but i could still remember vividly that few days ago, i have always wanted to get back asap. But now, its seems that I am feeling sentimental and unbearable. Perhaps, its really the friends you meet along the way that change your life.

I will be back, America...

I have no idea why this world is so complicated, and its really profound to decipher the real profile and character of individuals around me. These few days have greatly exposed me to many people, who mostly turn out to be friendly and most importantly, perfectly normal budding entrepreneurs like me.

But i just can't understand why some turn out to be hypocrites (those who are doing things which doesn't follow their belief)- its just like trying to act really close to someone when in reality, you actually don't really like this person and was talk bad about him all the time. Well perhaps, some may think only the person may know what exactly is in reality, but the fact remains that your every action and behaviour is closely scrutinized by people around you and things just became apparently obvious that you are doing something that isn't you in the first place. It may seems as if there is nothing wrong with it, but at least for me, you have been labelled as a hypocrite.

I wonder how great will it be if people just live their own peaceful serene lives while maintaining close relationships which are intangible and cannot be measured in terms of a valuation. But its sad to say that such a dream cannot be fulfilled as people are sucked to the overwhelming dark side and treat relationships as a form of networking, as a form of a additional benefit that may prove worth-while in the near future. It has been treated as a form of investment, that may bring returns in terms of opportunities or even monetary rewards like presents. After all, the cost of maintaing such relationships are relatively low, and all it takes is just putting on a fake smile on the face.

Many than often, things are judgemental and i hope people can easily differentiate the truth from the lies, the caring words from the bootlicker's saliva and the good and the bad. Finding pure and truthful ties is like finding a needle in the ocean. I realise that backstabbers, hypocrites and bootlickers are people you may find while you proceed on with life. I am not sure what is their real motive in life but it really irritates me.

i am feeling abit homesick now... and i just realised that i have been spending too much time on my laptop. Its really amazing to find how technology could actually keep you seated in your couch for many hours without you realising it, making you smile at a lifeless LCD screen while you chat with friends who are days away. Well time seems to pass really fast only too late for you to realise that its getting late and your room is in a mess. :P

Company visits gave me really much exposure to different people from all walks of life, with their own dying passion and drive. And the NUS people who joined us last sunday were really a cool bunch of undergraduates :) Having really great fun with them and yea, they are really friends who you can talk really comfortably with instead of the people i am travelling with..

Shopping everyday is really such a chore.. and i have the responsibility to fulfil the incoming list of requests from my sisters. oh crap, that's the bad thing about going America... girls are mad over the cheap sales in huge malls and outlets, but maybe not as much as metro brains.

lol, thats the whole suit that i bought for my sister today. wohoo kind of cool yea? Aeropostle + Oakley... :)

wohoo, america here i come :) It's really chilly here, and unfortunately, i don't have the luxury to type out a long post for my first day in San Francisco. You can't believe what actually happened, but the thing you need to know is that i am safe and sound, sitting on this lovely couch of my penthouse...

As predicted, the trip will most likely be screwed by these 2 freaks...

Hopefully, company visits will be deeply inspiring, as compared to these shopholics. I can't believe that a guy can shop as mad as him, and he freaking wants to shop again tmr.. zzz. He quotes,, "hello, america has shopping centres everywhere!". tmd, totally disgusted.

wts, i promised my grandmother to follow her to Malaysia for some sort of wedding only to late to realise that it is a wrong decision. Perhaps is due to the stereotype that Malaysia is a lower-end and less civilised country, I thought some beach wear will be fine. LOL, then when i stepped out of the bathroom with shorts and t-shirt (and planning to put on with my slippers), i got immediately shot down by everyone.

what the pok! Now I have to change to formal wear, take a hour plus car ride to Malaysia, then stone in the wedding banquet with my grandmother for a few hours while others are taking some alien language. Sian, should have just opt for mahjong at my cousin's house...

I am stoning in front of my laptop, while waiting for the my Photoshop CS4 to be installed. Many things went through my mind, and it has been running through my head repeatedly, continuously and never-ending. Sometimes i seriously stop and ponder, why am i thinking so much? I have no idea, it seems I have lost my focus... I have derailed off from my track and deviates from my strategy and aim in life.

As I look back, I had a hectic 1 month of holiday, luckily, with minimal free days of stoning at home. More things just come as others are finished, and I always hope that i can actually settle down and reflect. It feels best to pour out your thoughts by writing it down. Maybe i should just spend a few hours, even up to a day, to pen down every event and hopefully get back on track soon.

For time waits for no man, especially for me.

Is the world fair? Wtf, I am quite pissed now, but anger fades away as I starts to cool down in my chilling room. I am not sure what's with my family now but things just can be organised cohesively as a family of 5. Perhaps due to growing maturity, we tend to hang out more with our schoolmates and own clique of friends. My younger sister have left for china on a attachment programme, i will be leaving for silicon valley, my eldest sister is leaving for America for overseas exchange. But to be honest, comparatively with people i know, i have a loving family which i treasure most. Sometimes, the feeling of being at home really comforts the heart. I have also began to realise that home is where the heart lies, as for me, I tend to have the urge to take a break back at home after staying in friend's house for more than a few days.

I just had a fierce argument with my parents- one that i really raises my voice and tried to talk sense into them. But being parents, they also tend to think that there are always right and we, have no single right to change what they have decided or even mobilise what they do. And when we talked on the topic on "fair", they seems to be greatly influenced by my elder sister trademark quote, "the world is never fair".

Just because the world is never fair, we should be bias and not be impartial? We can never be totally fair, but at least, we shouldn't even think of using this an excuse for not being impartial. After all, 2 of you are grown-up parents.

Parents are not talking sense recently.

I am sure all of you have been keeping track of the news lately while rotting at home, with recent attention-grabbing headliners like the ACJC & SAJC birthday bash (luckily hwachong flag-polling culture is not featured), serious news like the G20 urgent meeting headed by George W.Bush to solve the imminent worldwide economic crisis, and the white tiger incident.

When I first saw the news, I was quite fazed and rather amused. yea perhaps Mr Cheong could discuss this new form of suicide in his GP lessons next year with our juniors. Firstly, i will never choose to suffer from immense pain before i die. This is assuming that i will even suicide in the first place. I believe the best way to end one's life is to be swift and immediate.

After all, you don't want to leave with a distorted body, with the head intact. LOL, the hilarious thing is that he actually brought a yellow bucket with him to protect his head! A well-planned suicide indeed.

Anyway, my sadistic sisters were asking me for the video of the white tiger incident when i was viewing the video of the ACJC birthday bash which I believe went totally out of hand after hearing 2 sides of the story. They were like "eh, give me the url of the white tiger one". I can't believe that they were actually so desperate to watch the video -.-

I manage to chance upon the YouTube video and just a warning here- not for the fainted heart, and do watch it IMMEDIATELY and not procrastinate like how we did for holiday homework. It may just be removed any moment from now as the Lee Government are looking very closely for any videos uploaded regarding this incident.

To me, it looks like a raping tiger, a struggling suicider, and a innocent white tiger going "eh, better stop la.. there are so many people looking and screaming!"

Happen to come across this article, which i thought it might be useful for a breakthrough post.

Anyway, so sorry for this normal hiatus, which apparently last longer than expected. HAHA, actually it is quite normal for me to disappear from my blog for a period of time if you do frequent my blogs since it all started. :) Perhaps now i don't feel the sense of responsibility to blog like the kind of love relationship that keeps you committed. Neither do i have to care about the number of hits i have, nor the number of comments on my blog. And that's one of the key lessons i have learnt through the past year of blogging- blog for the sake of blogging, and not for moola and fame. And my dear sister, if you are reading this post, do keep a check on your life- it's not worth to spend time watching your blog hits crawl upwards.

Back to the topic on naps.

After reading this thousand word graphic, it actually went straight into my head and into practice. I am sure many of you are victims of irregular sleep cycle, and in fact, i am one of them too. I still remember that there is this book that mention that apparently, the time we sleep gets later as we grow up. When i was a primary school kid, i slept at 10pm immediately when my parents ask me to. In secondary school, i began to deviate from this optimum 10pm mark to near 12 am. And this keep escalating when i promote from secondary 1 to 4. Now when i am in JC, it is completely a norm to sleep beyond 12am, while my parents were sound asleep at 11pm.

Whilst it is a fact that we need more time than ever to complete the ever increasing mountains of project, powerpoint and homework, this habit is bad. And that explains why we sleep in lectures, slack in tutorials and slump in grades. HAHA and 78 has many night owls :P

Sleep late and wake up with panda eyes- is that the best solution?

For years, naps have gotten a bad rap derided as a sign of laziness, weakness, or senility. We are "caught napping or "found asleep at the switch."

But lately, napping has garnered new respect, thanks to sold scientific evidence that midday dozing benefit both mental acuity and overall health. A slew of new studies have shown that naps boost alertness, creativity, mood and productivity in the later hours of the day.

A nap of 60 minutes improves alertness for up to 10 hours.

That's how cool issit. I am beginning to fall in love with naps, for it make me really fresh and bright. Excess sleep beyond 8 hours a day will only make you more tired and fatigued (maybe i will only get to experience during this holidays). While a short 2 hour nap, gets me alert and pushing for higher productivity. Sleep does not equals to lazy, for 休息是为了走更长的路...

I really find myself getting more and more disorganised, and i hate it this way, living in a room filled with dust and stacks of thrash dumped since promotional exams. Come to think of it, it has been near 1 month since promotional exams ended and since i have made a official blog entry. Now that Oral Presentation is over and it is officially holidays, there is no excuse for me not to get back on track and start working on stuffs that I have been procrastinating- and that includes blogging as well.

One month- 30 days - many things happened in each of the 30 days - one person (LOL sounds like lifern introduction -.-).. yeah! and it is impossible to cover every single detail, which may perhaps take one whole day of my holidays to pen down all. Well, and that implies that i may shortlist the few more prominent events to blog, but sadly, not in this post.

I thought of making a long blog post but it seems that I am forced to push back the revival plan after spending 1-2 hours talking to my sister. >< I just realised that I have been missing in action for quite some time, living in my own world and going through lots of things without even penning down a single. Many things have been going through my mind since promotional exams ended and its hard to describe my feelings.

I just felt empty, and blogging is one of the ways to refill my emotional tank. I will, and I promise I will, to take a step back, to recall the many eventful happenings around me one at a time. I have been transforming to an abnormal/bad boy and I need to plan my road ahead soon.

hello peeps, i am finally back after a rather long hiatus. oh man. really lots of things to update and I am confused where to start from. every prose requires a structure and this theory applies to blog entries as well. whether is it a particular topic/issue/event that you particularly blog for, there is always a need to have a focus or else you will end up like what i am doing now, crapping and talking cock as i typed. lol, but what i have just wrote makes some sense too.

ok i shall start with the battle with the devil- promotional exams. As i looked back, it has been a few months of hardwork and preparation for this 2-week event ever since i declared to be a normal student. It has been a treacherous journey, with ups and downs, as I still can recall how bad i feel when i fail my first math test with my new identity. A sluggish start to get use to the mugging attitude but it is fulfilling when you reach the end. Because you put in effort to finish the race.

I shall not drag too much on this 2-week event that rocked the school since "history doesn't really have much significance anyway". It may only dig out unmemorable horrors of the promotional exams and add salt to your wound. Not therapeutic at all... Perhaps, I shall comment the benchmarks of a normal student.

1. It is normal to get around the region of 50-60 for GP.

2. It is normal to fail the last question of econs DRQ and get a region of 30-40 marks upon 50 for the essays depending on which QUESTIONS you attempt

3. It is normal to pass chemistry.

4. It is normal to pass but not get an A for math.

5. It is normal to flunk biology.

As you can see, my rather optimistic estimation has been quite pathetic. Judging from these standards, most probably H3 dream is just like the castle in the air while dropping to 3 H2 may just be a silver lining in the cloud. Lets not talk about it anymore for it is the time to regret about what has been done. Lets just pray for the better and normal student hereby, wishes everyone good luck when the papers return.

Is it over? Not really, cause everything isn't over.

Sianz. I was forced to stay at home yesterday, alone, just because promotional exams is around the corner. I missed yet another wedding dinner and probably one of the two, because I will not be able to attend another in December as I will be overseas. zZZ, mugging is bored and that's why I backed out of the Seriously Interested In Studying (SIIS) Club (LOL actually i was kicked due to my dismal performance in blocks). Anyway there may be a chance for collusion next year... heheh. SOLO CLUB, NORMAL STUDENT AND SIIS SHALL PAWNZ!

Many things have been occurring around me; whether is it the the volatile stock market which i have spend quite a fair bit of time observing, the bitching and gossiping in class, the raving aura of love not around me but my dear buddies, talk-cocking or backstabbing. All i really need is to shelve all these stuffs away for just 2 WEEKS, and do what Mr. Ngoh loves most, FOCUS!!!

I just have to be normal for 2 more weeks, and will revert back to my abnormal self really soon..

Time really flies. 4 days to promotional exams and 4 days to my birthday. Its really fast, and i believe the next 2 weeks will zoom past even faster, hopefully. I am not sure if I am really ready for the exams, but I am confident that these few months of mugging has been one of my best performance ever since slugging through my secondary school years one after another. I really hope my effort will pay off at the end of the race... and it shall be payday time. Instead of having the class retain together, why not we promote together?

Anyway the past week hasn't been really efficent days for mugging as there are many things cropping out of the blue and startling news popping up one after another. I have also been idling in the cyberspace for quite some time, checking out on new songs that may spurr me to study more and gossiping in the mean time (LOL!) First up will be the Steve Job's keynote address which i spent near 1 hour watching how he unveils the new series of ipods for their summer holidays. Yea the way he speaks and presents is really charismatic and alluring. His trademark dressing-sense and the fluidity of the whole address gave you the personal touch that keeps you attracted to the new offerings by apple.

Ipods- I thought the new design was kinda dissapointing and it really looks as if they are duplicating the China's version of ipod. But the new functions like accelormeter, wider screen and sleeker design is pretty cool. Colour wise, it is a daring attempt to break their conventional black and white designs. Pricing the ipods more affordable for the wider community is also a wise move to position IPOD as the icon for mp3.

Itunes- I thought the most interesting element in the keynote address is the new itunes 8.0. A revamp of the already-very-cool mp3 player, apple offers the genious function, which i feel that it is a really genious move. The new Genius feature turns iPod nano into your own highly intelligent, personal DJ. It creates playlists by finding songs in your library that go great together. When i first came across this new feature, i thought, "WOW" that will be a really cool add-on feature to further capitalize their stand as the leader in the mp3 market. Firstly, it creates great covenience for old users like us as it helps to group songs of the same genre/style/flavour into a playlist that makes listening an even great pleasure. On the other hand, genious function also helps Apple to retrieve listening habits of ipod users by sending information back to its database. Well, such personal information of consumers may not seem important to us, but for a big firm like apple, the ability to track the habits of every consumer helps them to better determine trends in the mp3 industry, which are pivotal in their future development. It's just like how google and yahoo determine search habits of every user.

However, the dismal thing is that WE aren't able to access such great functions as itunes store isn't made avaialble in Singapore yet. We can't buy songs from itunes, we can't pay for updates for iphone and ipod touch, and we can't use the genious function! But i doubt many of us will even use the itunes store even if it is made avaialble, and thats the main reason why Apple have always been reluctant to expand their market into Asia and have always been focusing their attention in the US and Europe Market. Sometimes, it is really hard to understand why Americans are so willing to pay $0.99 for a song on itunes when such idea will never come across the mind of a stingy Asian. Perhaps thats how our culture shaped us to what we are and how we behave today.

It's really dissapointing how Apple faill to pay their attention on markets in this region when consumers like me have paid the same price for an ipod but couldn't receive the similar benefits as compared to those in America. No matter what, we are still your consumers and we deserve to enjoy the numerous updates and offerings dished out by Apple. Really hope that itunes store will come to Singapore really soon.

I have no idea why i have the sudden urge to blog about this when i should by mugging on this Saturday. But perhas, Mr Colin Cheong will share the same sentiments as the availbility of itunes store in Singapore have been stopping him from buying an iphone. Come on, we deserve more consumer welfare!

I just came form Singapore General Hospital after dropping down to see my grandfather who just finished his operation. Actually, it isn't that serious as it may seems but after all, he is my grandfather and i am worried for him. The operation went on smoothly and the kidney stones were demolished after futile attempts in Gleneagles. It was a good piece of news and he can be back home in 1-2 days time =)

I don't really like the feeling of visiting hospitals. It brought back bad memories when my great-grandfather passed away after struggling in the hospital for near 2-3 years. I can never forget that time when i was still secondary 2, and it was a great setback when my dearest kin passed away. I can never erase the moment when i broke into tears after i was informed that my great-grandfather fell down the stair at Bukit Timah Food Centre (MARKET); i was still primary 5 then. After a couple of operations which tied him downwith wires and tubes, he finally left the world on a Sunday when i was on my way back from Math Tuition. It was emotionally depressing and heart-throbbing considering that he brought my up since young with great care and dedication. Even when i am writing this blog post right now, I can feel the pain in my heart and tears brimming in my eyes.

Ever since one of the most saddening events in my life, I strive to do my best and make my great-grandfather proud of me. Although I wasn't really that successful (yet), I will never forget my childhood years with my dearest kin.

He was and will always be my inspiration in life. I love you, great-grandfather =)

Now that my grandfather was warded for high blood pressure and diabetes, i am really afraid that he will just go like that. I know that i will definitely experience such setbacks some point of time in my life, but I hope that it will not happen until 10 to 20 years down the road =) I want my grandparents to witness my achievements in life, hopefully :) Stay strong and healthy!

It has been years since i last stepped into the hospital, which is fortunately a good thing, and to my amazement, public hospitals have became much more posh, cool and conducive. No longer are there fans, bright fluorescent light and stuffy rooms, wards are now much better beyond my expectations! It looks no different from private hospitals like Gleneagles, and not far from the standard of hotels! HAhha but touch wood, it isn't a good place to frequent.

Now that the operation is successful and the kidneys stones have been excreted, my grandfather is in stable condition and hopefully, there aren't any other after effects. And i was quite amazed to find out that the doctors actually allow the patients to bring back the kidney stones! HAHAH LOL, kind of like souvenirs after a trip to the hospital.

That's life after school for today and it is time to get back to real action. I am really vexed for promotional exams, and have been suffering from stress-syndrome like insomnia, late sleep and stuffing myself with food. And seriously, i am really worried for promotional exams. Especially so when the date approaches closer and closer, and things aren't finished! STRESS, UPTIGHT, EMOTIONAL TURMOIL!

"FUCK" just keeps blurting out from my mouth

Lessons in classes are really unproductive at all when teachers are just whining away and piling up worksheets and past year promo paper, which i realise was really demoralising when you will just get stuck in 1 out of 2 questions. I can't imagine myself in that kind of predicament when i take the paper in ONE WEEK TIME! It is a suppressor to your morale when you realise that you are getting back failed tests, when you realise that many topics are left untouched, when you realise that teachers are revising things that look so foreign to you...

Time is really running out. I thought that I am ready for promos but in fact, I wasn't. I may have transformed to a normal student months before and ace-ing my tests ever since, but i realise that promotional exam is different; it is an EXAM of great determination, consistency and discipline. It is back to the last minute race against time again.... But this time, it decides everything. There is no second chance.

normal student is still hanging on for the last few laps. i am not sure why but ironically, i became more stressed up after i cut my hair but i guess that isn't really the main problem since it isn't ceteris paribus in the first place. I think SCHOOL is the main reason why i am getting more paranoid then ever. Can't really switch my sleeping mechanism back in time and have been really sleeping through lectures and tutorials for the past 2 days. I tried to read some inspiring books, listen to some inspiring music, take a few deep (inspiring) breaths but it doesn't really work well since precious time for mugging are only wasted.

I guess i should just shrug of promos today and focus on A'level SPA tmr. Just leave discard promos at bay for now, mug hard for bio&chem SPA, have a good rest and enjoy the SPA day. Haha thanks jieyang and kuan for their model answers for the two SPAs and hopefully, i will step out of the SPA therapy, exclaiming...

MAF!

HAHAAH, went for MAF yesterday nite but was quite disappointed by the turn-up rate for our class. I thought almost everyone will be present on MAF given that the class is always so enthu in these activities, but..but .. only a handful turn up and most are sparsely segregated into their cliques, which in this case are CCAs like frisbee, chinese orchestra and OAC. Haiz, leaving only the few pathetic souls as representatives from 08s78.

But no doubt, we still have much fun and it was a really eye-opener for me. I never had such a colourful and crowded Mid-Autumn Festival and college looks so foreign when i first stepped into the compound, staring blank at those unknown seniors around the canteen and class benches. All of a sudden, i thought we are just like extras and not really cordially invited to this event. After all, MAF is specially organised for seniors and we are just picturing what will it be like when we gather back after graduating.

All in all, the atmosphere was really great and the lightings and fountain was WOW! Haha, great job council and hope to be back there _ years later. =)

Bah! It is all over and Hwachong will revert back to its status of the deadly city in preparation of promos, prelims and A'levels... tmr.

i wasted my whole day.

I can't believe that I wasted my whole day while blogging at 3am. Actually, it isn't really a waste of time as in I didn't literally spent my whole day stoning and not doing nothin. But i am not doing what a normal student should do while promotional exams is just a stone throw's away....

I DIDN'T EVEN TOUCH MY WORK AT ALL TODAY! ZOMG..

Hahah yea it was quite a big deal for a normal student advocate, but i thought it will be great to relax since after all, it is still "holidays". I went to Kbox with my cousins today from 2pm to 7pm, burring my throat completely dry, then went for dinner until 8.30pm, after which a mahjong + card session at my cousin's house from 8.30pm-11pm before i walked home. Oh cool, it was as though it is 30 days from now when everyone is jubilated over the decease of the devil, "promos". And come to think of it, by right, this word can only appear once unless there is a major screw-up.... ahem.

Anyway it was a great break from the intense mugging which is taking my life bits by bits. The day was fun but while walking back home, i suddenly have a deja vu feeling of realising that things aren't done after the end of holidays. You know it is really hard to describe such a feeling but perhaps, most of you should understand because holidays tend to be really unproductive for us and we tend to only regret when it is coming to an end.

I thought it was an drastic improvement from the previous holiday(s) when I really put in a lot of effort and discipline to mug throughout these days. But only to realise that they are quite a couple of things that aren't done and the first week of term 4 is going to be really disastrous. I haven't really touched SPA(S), revised the series and sequences test and finished my Math Holiday Assignment. Worst still, i realise that next week will be the killer week.

Time is really going to fly like a flash of light and the coming week will be crucial to determine whether if I persevere and hang on or crash and burn. I hope that the latter will not happen and it is time to buck up and wrap things up before school life starts. I loved this quote, "self-awareness is always followed by change". I knew that i have to finished all these stuffs within these 2 days and i must change in order to accomplish this goal.

Classical music is my new form of inspiration. I always visualise that the best moment in life is to slouch in a real cosy massage chair, eyes closed while enjoying the melodious classical music flowing through my ears. (haha lol its is like adrian's pang in the Channel 8, 9pm show)

It's really a great form of relaxation and i am working towards its slowly... =)

I am so used to last minute hugging the buddha leg such that now when i am so enthusiastic and passionate about mugging 1 month before promotional exams, i feel really weird. I always have this mindset that if i mug the day before, or even hours before the test, i will tend to remember better. That's the reason why i always mug until 2-3am the day before the tests and break down the day after. Now that i am adopting a normal student strategy, which is to have sufficient preparation before tests, I always have a feeling that i will forget everything i have understood weeks before. That's why i conclude that i prefer more PRACTICE & APPLICATIONS SUBJECTS (MATH, ECONS and bits of CHEM) that requires you to build the foundation over time, and really detest CONTENT HEAVY SUBJECTS (BIO & GP) which focus on the art of vomiting and makes you feel nausea.

if i tell you that every Wednesday is byobd, i doubt most of you understand what the hell is this acronym. Firstly, because it just looks like some random jumbled words that most can't make any meaning out from it. Secondly, how do you freak'in pronounce this word!? It is not like LOL (loud out loud) or ACES (All children exercise simultaneously, though this one is really crappy), which you can easily associate its meaning and use it quite oftenly when you communicate. If you can read BYOBD out loud, i say you are a genius. You dun expect pepople to say,"hey yo, today is BYOBD!". Spastic.

Anyway I don't think anyone have yet to figure out what is byobd. I happen to chance upon it when i was at Shop-N-Save yesterday, and i was like WTH!

OH MAN! The garment really suck at naming these policies.

There is really lotsa interesting stuffs around us if you do observe closely. While i was walking past a tuition centre, i stopped and took a closer look...

WHAT IS THIS!? Pure blatant spastic marketing with model essays displayed outside the tuition centre! Haha lol they still dare to call it exhibition! Tuition centres are really cranky in coming up with unique marketing techniques that are cheap and propagating (will not increase their average cost mah), that will be effective in luring potential consumers through the display of its differentiated products.

Just in that short few minutes and i found so many intriguing things around me. The world is interesting if you take a closer look at things...

Ok time to go back to mugging... i have decided to adopt a 3 time slot strategy; diverting 2-3 hours of mugging in the morning, afternoon and at night. Hope it will be effective. Good luck mugging! I need my classical music~~~~ =)

Over these few days, i learnt that one's attention span is limited. I tried storing information into my brain at one go only to realise that LDMR occurs. Law of diminishing marginal returns states that the more you study, the less things that get into your brain... and i have estimated that 2-3 hours is the most i can absorb.

Studying after school has been quite effective for me when i will just sit down alone, read through and understand the lecture notes and finish the tutorial on the spot within 2-3 hours and get back home at around 7 for dinner. It was a great sense of achievement and I can feel that things have been going into my central memory. I know that i am learning.

However these few days when you can have the luxury to study up to 24 hours a day, I realise that after that 2-3 hours of optimum studying, my brain tends to slow down, lag and lose focus. It is a real waste of time to force yourself to take in any more information when the brain is like a denatured enzyme and the substrate (chunks of info) can longer fit into the active site to form the enzyme-substrate complex. It is a signal to me that it is time to take a break like run or swim (oh yea, i went for a laxing swim yesterday =p for the first time since like how many eons ago)...

Anyway things have been going on smoothly for me except the fact that the normal student is feeling abit tired of studying. But i believed that having a purpose and an end in mind makes you move forward. I want to do well in promos, get promoted, fly to America (yeap, toh used this as a handhold to threaten me) and get a H3 econs next year. I read Andrew Matthew book " being a happy teeneger" recently, which i bought when i was in secondary school, and the feeling was relishing. It was a simple book, yet inspiring and heart-warming. Have a purpose in everything you do and you will do well. 20 plus days to promotional exams and there isn't much time to contemplate whether if I should lead such a mugger life. There is only one route to the end....

Oh yea, we have finally completed the written report and i am really satisfied with the final product. Kudos to all the hardwork put into by my beloved team-mates... melissa, lily and chai ping. It has been a tough journey but i am sure we have enjoyed it thus far and yea, maybe even more during our preparation for oral presentation. But that is after promos...

Haha i can only say that our project is really imba and the overall presentation of the written report was wooooootzzz! JIayou mugging for promos like a normal student!

I have not forgotten my dear ranting ground, and here i am, back after battling this really hectic week that nearly kills me off, or in fact, killed me on the last day of school. I had the worst nightmare of my life on Friday, when i woke up to find that, "ZOMG, THAT WASN'T A DREAM! I SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT WHILE MY PW-MATES WERE HAUTING FOR ME WHILE ALMOST HALF OF THE CLASS WAS STILL ONLINE AT 4AM WORKING ON WR!".

It was a great slumber, lying on my cosy bed accompanied by my econs question paper, while my laptop was still left glaringly on with popping chat windows that weren't capable of waking me up. My mum came in and do what she is best at, "press the window icon then shut down", off the lights and there goes everything...

I woke up at 7+ am in horror to find that nothing is done!? I was in a state of shock after i realise that it wasn't a dream! IT IS A NIGHTMARE TURN TRUE! LOL, i was really panicking and checked my phone "flooded" with sms finding the wanted man, and decided to give the teacher's day concert a miss while i sit down calmly to think of the next step. In the end, i thought that it will be best to face the truth and make my way back to school at 9am plus, tried to squeeze my way into the auditorium but failed, so went to 74 bench and fishtank to start my econs, then got the good news that Mr.Cheong allowed us to hand in written report during the holidays, then continue to work on econs until 1 plus with kh and that's how i spent a day of teacher's day. No teachers, but a day of shock and relief.

I missed the stripped show, the 12 lotus stars, the high-school teachers but thankfully, everything is solved and it is time to settle down with 25 days to promotional exams.

Oh yea, i got my new phone this week too! Luckily i got back in time from school when the delivery~~man~~ woman was already waiting at my doorsteps. The service is pretty efficient, the delivery was smooth and my first handphone deal through the sintelonlineshop was rather pleasant. The only downfall is that you can't get the chance to feel and tests out the phones yourself, otherwise, one can consider getting a phone online.

The interface has drastically changed, compared to my previous one, now with Symbian Operating System coupled with buttons, touch screen and stylus. I took quite a fair bit of time to get use to the interface, and was getting frustrated at times when the systems keeps lagging and functions cannot be carried out. My biggest regret was the supposedly powerful 5.0 megapixels camera, which looks really amateurish with just a simple hole on the back, and the pictures taken are really disappointing. It just looks like a normal handphone camera to me, but i guess, it should be sufficient for someone like me who doesn't really uses his camera that often (except for blogging).

Anyway the first day of intensive mugging in school was rather efficient, finishing the econs pre-promo exam question package and studying up to cost theory. The school was ironically bustling today when the councillors are busy preparing for MAF on this coming saturday. I heard they will be working from 8am to 9pm and I can see that they really have put lotsa effort into this event. Whether is it rain or shine, they have put in their very best to prepare the water fountain, the gigantic lighting and the drawing. So normal students, do take a break and turn up for MAF! It is once in a lifetime...

There has been alot of "computer work" to be done lately and truthfully, i don't really like the feeling of starring at my laptop for straight hours. Despite being known as the "techy ang geeky" guy, I find computers a form of distraction. Whether is it chatting on msn, popping into facebook to check out the latest happenings, watching some YouTube Videos or reading up people's lives, the time you spend on a computer isn't really very productive efficient. Times passes faster than ever and things aren't seem to be done. Look at the amount of time our partner solo club KQ and his compatriot LGK spend in front of computers in relative to their grades and you will get what i mean. If you really want to settle down and study, stay away from your computers!

anyway, i just finished my GP essay and there are many other stuffs to clear off my list before i can officially start revision. Written Report is still a stumbling block, with quite a couple of problems to settle before i can call it an end. I just realise that i have too much information that what is required! Wtshit, other groups propose 2 events or 1 learning module while my group have err.... evaluation of experiential stage, goalball, basketball, mountaineering programme, film + event, book, website. Holy, how am i suppose to squeeze all these within 3000 words!

And ironically with the promos edging closer and closer, there are still stuffs like Biology ILP coming up. It is meant to "help pull up our grades", but apparently, it is eating into our time for revision. Really crappy to put the learning module when it is only 4 weeks before promos. There is also the HCI Economics Student Exco which i am considering whether or not to run for. All the duties are supposed to be carried out by Network but was removed as we aimed to become a pure entrepreneurship society. Won't it be weird if i actually run for the economics student exco again when i am from network? Haha, anyway there is still time to ponder over it.

lots of stuff to complete by this week and i really hope that i will be ready to take on those terrifying mock papers in term 4.

i am feeling rather paranoid.

This is what happen during the emo period. Even intellectual people are doing irrational things.

As the title suggests, i am beginning to feel the heat of the promotional exams. 1 month, exactly 30 days before the biggest challenge of the year. it is the deciding factor for either a retain, drop 1 h2 subject, or get a h3 subject. And definitely, i am aiming for the last- and to be precise, a h3 econs to study game theory in SMU next year. I still remember that that's the goal i set for myself after attending open house last year, and right now, that's my primary goal. Pass promos with flying colours and qualify for a H3 econs.

Lots of things have been catching up and time is running out. One of the last tests before the BIG DAY =) on te 24th SEP will be the economics DRQ tmr. The coverage is rather small and i hope to continue my A streak till promos. There isn't really much content to mug but i think i have to work on my exposure to government policies and answering techniques.

I have been spending almost the whole day yesterday in reading room to complete the written report, and i can say it is rather efficient but isn't really productive as we spend almost *count* ___ hours from 8am to near 4pm. Hahah its really tiring but quite pleased with the result. Written Report is soon to be completed ~~and discarded!~~

Anyway i though the reading room will be quite an ideal place to mug on Saturdays given that i am always rather ill-disciplined on weekends, idling at home and glued to the television. Maybe it is worth considering to go back school next Saturday alone to mug. it is just 4 weeks anyway.

I am getting very unsettled recently, with my largest concern biology. The lecturers seem to be really oblivious that they are ranting at breakneck speed, while the student remain literally stunned almost throughout the whole lecture. I simply catch no balls during biology lecture, and sometimes, i really don't even know which topic are they at now. It gave me the feeling that they just wanna get the job done and over with, and move on with the next topic. Worst still, tutorials are moving at tortoise pace contrastingly. I wonder how am i suppose to do well for biology...

With the econs DRQ test cleared tmr, i will be focusing my attention on revision then. While coping with the on-going tutorials and lectures, time will be diverted into revising old topics day by day, for 30 days. It is the last month lap, implying that it is time to increase my pace and sprint till the end. I won't fail this one.

Listening to Muse-Unintended

I have identified this period of time as the emo-month. Those who have been on their feet blog-hopping will know that most blog posts tend to become more grouchy, moody and emotional. As we edge closer to the daunting promotional exams, as seniors prepare for their do-or-die A' levels, the whole school seems to transform into a city of death, deadly quiet and serene. It is as though the school has been wiped out by a thunderstorm, and people are suffering from pre-exam syndrome, burying themselves in thick piles of notes. The feeling is creepy, the pressure is high, the heart is palpitating but we have to concede that this is the emo period that everyone dreaded, but have to go through.

I am no doubt one of the many normal students who haven been suffering from this pre-exam syndrome, transforming into someone whom i have never met before. I have never mugged so seriously, listening so attentively in lectures and tutorials and doing nothing but mugging. I am glad that my super-duper slow processor (refer to my comp..) has stopped me from games and gave me this new path of reflection. 1 hour spent here blogging is definitely much more worthwhile then 1 hour in a virtual game, which will only be imprinted in the memory that will only take up unnecessary space. I believe that's a transformation for the better.

Many have closed down their blogs temporarily in view of the exams but i insist to open up this ranting ground in this emo period. It is impossible to mug for hours straight because normal students do feel what is sian, tired, boring. Reflecting at the end of the day is a good way to start a better tomorrow. It may be taking quite a fair of bit of my time, but i will insist to blog my transformation progress here, perhaps with shorter posts.

Will be going back to school at 8am to finish up Written Report =p(enthu sia!). I hereby wishes those who have been struggling through this emo period good luck, and DO REMEMBER THAT

The sky will remain clear and the birds will continue to chirp in 33 more days.

Micheal Phelps stole the limelight for the opening week of the Beijing Olympics but this man wraps it off with 2 gold medals and world records in the 100m and 200m sprint. He is the "NUMBER ONE" who has the character, charisma and calmness to charm the likes of many, including his competitors. Hahah, he is my new idol! USAIN BOLT!

And he got what he wants- breaking the world record set by Michael Johnson 10 years ago by two-hundredths of a second. =)

You should see how relax he is before the 200m final race la! LOL, it is freaking amusing... He looks like a student with his bag, loitering around the stadium as he waits for the race to start. (hahah, i tried to find the picture with his bag but cannot only find "usain bolt bags a double" -.-) Even when he was doing warm-up on the track, he still can show his trademark arrow shot, keeping cool and calm.

Haha, he is a impressive sprinter with the x-factor!

Whenever i blog, i just can't stop posting something that isn't suppose to be part of a normal student's life. LOL, can't help it ah ps, i am always glued to the television when there is a big race coming up. Journey to the A's have been quite smooth for me, despite some obstacles, but i guess signs of effort has been paying off...

Got back the math lecture test and I was shell-shocked when Mrs.Toh called out my name for the 16 who got A's. And she said "Good job" for once! Hahah, it was totally unexpected that i will score 24/31 because out of the 4 questions, i only manage to get 2 correct final answers and most of my marks come from method marks.

It's really great to hear a teacher commending you especially when you have been blacklisted by teachers as possible next-year-j1s/retain students. Instead of all those "jeremy, you must work harder ah..", "jeremy, remember to study hard for tmr chem lecture test ah", "jeremy, you can do better" which are really depressing, getting some good commendations like "keep up the good job!" keeps me inspired to work even harder.

I learnt that grades are no doubt a barometer for teachers to measure the development of a student. The basis of all scholarships and admission to universities are grades too. No matter how great you fare in other non-academic areas like CCAs and projects, no matter how many lettuce you grow, if your grades can't meet the mark, you have no where to go, not to even say a bright future. Here is not America, this is Singapore. We are bound to be judged by our grades.

During PW today, Mr Cheong was discussing with yi ming and yan hui about the blacklisted list of people, and as i was walking past by, he asked, "eh jeremy, you are also in the blacklisted list right?" I can see that he is kind of disappointed and surprised why my grades are in this mess, but it still tarnishes his impression of me. I know that many, including teachers, parents, and me myself, are disappointed by my dismal performance in blocks but I am trying my very best to catch up this large gap.

Recent tests grades are encouraging with 2 A's and 1 B, but there is still a long way to make up for the first half of the year. Promos are after all testing the topics for the whole year. Back few days when i was mugging at my usual spot, Mrs. Toh walked past and we had a short conversation.

Mrs.Toh: Eh, why are you here? Taking a test ah.

Me: erm no.. haha just mugging.

Mrs. Toh: Oh oO ok...

~~~ Then before she made her way back to the staff room, she turn around and said...

"Hhah, finally studying ah!"

The sarcastic tone hurts but it pushes me on. Normal student is finally studying...

and he believes that a loner in mugging is a winner.

haha, i came across this blog that mentions that Mediacorp finally admitted that jade seah said the F-word when she was the host of the Beijing Olympics Games!!! Hahah lool, i bet she is the first one to swear on National TV, yet manage to escape from it! When my mum told me, "eh you know the channel 5 Olympics host, the Miss Singapore runner-up one, scold the F-word eh!", then i was like "LOL! really ah!".

Hahah for those who missed the F-moment like me, you can catch it here in this youtube video. She is already a "cannot make it" host, and now, she wants to be labelled as the one who makes history by being the first and only one who blurted the word "FUCK" on national TV. OPPS =O

School life is getting dry with all those meeting and activities off my things-to-do-list. Now, what is really left in my list is none other than lectures+tutorials+tests+SPA+learning modules+PW.... And the list goes on, but all share a common identity, they are academics. With key commitments getting off my workload, my primary focus, and definitely a concern, is my studies.

I just got back my ECONS oligopoly test and i can say, the results are rather acceptable because that was what i was exactly aiming for: 10/15. I should try to be optimistic and be happy with what i have, but deep in my heart, I know that it isn't an exemplary performance as many have scored 10 and above. I may have scored a mark that i have set for myself, but in comparison with others, i didn't perform well.

As egoistic human beings, we can never escape from the grasp of comparison. When i got back my 22/30 for Chemistry, i was elated because firstly, my hard work paid off, secondly, i made a improvement from my previous "U" grade in blocks and receive commendation from OAG, and last but not least, I admit that I am glad because i am one of the top few in class who got "A"s.

Imagine if most of my classmates get 25 and above and I barely get past the A mark. Even though it may prove to be a breakthrough for me, I will not be happy as contrastingly, i fared badly. Comparison sets the benchmark for people, and that's the reason why physics students are happy with a pass in Blocks as they are considered the top 80 percentile in comparison with the cohort.

Academics isn't all about you and your performance; most of the time, it is closely related to how people around you fared as well.

And, we need these comparisons to give us psychological boosts that will push us to greater heights.

I also learnt that grades are no doubt a form of comparison not only for us, but also for the teachers...(to be blogged..)

i want a new phone!

I really ~~WANT~~ NEED a NEW phone desperately. Ever since my Singtel plan hits the 21month contract and is eligible for a phone upgrade, i have been keeping a lookout for phones but apparently, phones nowadays are rather sucky and none really fits the bill to be my ideal phone.

Few months back, i was looking at this really cool sleek Nokia 6500 slide and I thought, "wow, it definitely has the looks!". But ever since the price of the phone drops to near $0-$100 range, it has been labelled as the budget phone which almost literally everyone who signs a plan this period will consider getting it for free. After all, in this pragmatic society, most of the people will just go for the "free phone" which will at least last them for 2 years of sms-ing and calling.

Hahah, btw i trying to say that it still looks cool but getting to common , and not those who get this phone is too cheapo =O

Verdict: i almost got this phone, but after trying its really stiff buttons, quite laggy system, and not very impressive camera, i decided, NAH!

So i move on with life, and continue to bear with this still-usable-but-automatically-shutdown k610i. But seriously, it has been hindering how I work and getting in contact with other people. The battery can at most last me for around 3 days of dormant usage of the phone (i mean really just leaving it on there and not calling/receiving phone calls), and 1 day of intensive calling and sms. The most irritating thing is that it will just shutdown automatically! Maybe those SE phone users will understand this problem when their phones cross the 1 year mark. Haiz, maybe it is really true that a phone only has a life span for at most 2 years.

Despite my desperate attempts to look out for "hot deals", whether is it through online means or flipping through the Saturday's Straits Times every week, the journey thus far has failed...

I have been considering the much awaited iphone which will be landing on Singapore's shores in around September. But I predict the price will definitely be exorbitant like those in Hong Kong, and guess what, the latest news prove that i am right! While i am blogging now, the Singtel iphone page is lagging down my whole computer (maybe due to high traffic) after they have officially released the plans and prices of the 8GB and 16GB iphone!

I can assure you that those aren't good news. In order to "complement with this wi-fi 3G iphone", they have pushed out new plans called the FLEXI PLANS, which allows you to surf the net on the go while paying a lum sum per month, amounting to around 50+/month for the CHEAPEST Flexi plan. Somehow, i am feeling the monopolistic power exerted by Singtel... And if you are willing to pay 200+/month for a PREMIUM FLEXI PLAN, here is a piece of good news for you- you can get the iphone 16GB for FREE! WOW

Anyway for normal students, who do not have the spending power to afford such expensive flexi plans, we will naturally be looking at those normal plans which we are using right now. A plan which costs around 25bucks/month can still get an iphone.... but at the cost of 700+ bucks for an 8GB. WOW!

Lately, i was attracted to the SE G900 phone, and perhaps, I may just get it in these few days. It is a smart phone with wifi, 5 megapixel camera, stylus, touch screen and the ideal all-in-one phone that you will get. And now, the price decrease from $348 to $200, but only exclusively at singtelshop.com which i am still figuring how am i suppose to get a phone from there. My mum called Singtel and they said if i wanna get the phone at the Hello! shops, it will cost $298, which I really don't understand why can't they just sell it at the same price of $200 through conventional means! Seems that they are desperately trying to attract consumers to use their online portal... technology mah.

I am not sure if i will get this phone by this week, but till now, the impression is relatively good and the price is reasonable. Quite a good catch, and maybe i will make a decision by this week.

Hmm.. any advice? =)

Normal student is back to blogging after slacking for near 2 hours in-front of his laptop =) After "retiring" from the dota games disappointingly due to severe lag and spikes, he decided to pick up blogging and watching drama serials as part of his leisure as he combats his way through to the finals at 24th September.

LOL, that's the Olympics fever acting up again. Hahah, everyone is talking about Olympics- about Phelps ground-breaking 8 gold, about Bolt clinical finish at the 100m sprint, about Singapore claiming her first Olympic Medal after a phenomenal fight to the finals of the Women Table Tennis Team event. It's really amazing how the Olympic event in Beijing has changed life across continents and oceans.

It is highly-anticipated, highly addictive and definitely highly distractive. LOL!

I really regret camping in-front of the television yesterday, witnessing how Singapore failed her mission impossible task against China and then switching to other sports like the Men's Badminton Finals, Gymnastics (dunno bla bla bla event), diving goddess Guo jing jing and then lastly, how the injury-plagued Manchester United draw with Newcastle in the opening match. All of a sudden, i became such a all-rounder in sports! Hahah, and that's how i spent most of my time the day before Mathematics Lecture Test, which was undoubtedly, quite screwed...

zZZ, the Olympic fever seems to draw everyone back to slumber and I am definitely one of them. You can't expect a normal student to dao all the breaking news around him and continue to mug in peace when everyone is cheering their lungs out in the filled-to-the-brim fish tank. Everyone seems to be in a holiday mood and couldn't visualise the demon sprinting down its path and sweeping us all in just 30+ days. I really pity the seniors who couldn't get the focus that they desperately needed, "to make the universe move for them."

Anyway back to life.... Today's Math lecture test was really quite screwed (at least what i feel). I am not sure what is the reason but i recall that i was quite confident before the test with minimal practices, redo-ing of tutorials and lecture notes; I was aiming for a B (60 and above) and now, well, I will be satisfied with a pass. I think most probably it is due to lack of sleep before test, peer pressure ~~(they are so many people copy around me!)~~ and the environment ~~(not used to the cramp auditorium seat)~~. Hmm, normal student needs to improve...

I went back to my really super-efficient+productive mugging spot outside staff room to mug today again, and the feeling of accomplishment was really great =) Hahaha, i think i shall name it my mugging ground from now to promos. It really takes alot of discipline to mug alone, and i am trying to master it day by day... LOL

on a side note, there is something really demoralising today, and i thought, maybe i should post it another day.

tmr will be a better day!

He succeeded; 8 gold medals out of 8 attempts and he maintains his 100% record at the Beijing Olympics watercube. It is really amazing how the Olympics set the stage for top athletes from all parts of the world to pit their 4 years of worth of discipline and determination. It is unbelievable that so many world records are broken within these short few weeks, and Michael Phelps alone broke 7 world records and 1 Olympic record. It earned him the name of the best Olympian with the most number of gold medals. The moment is emotional for he himself who trained everyday without fail, his family members who gave him the support throughout these years, and the world who witnessed the best swimmer of all time.

Another impressive individual is undoubtedly, Usain bolt of Jamaica who smashes the much anticipated 100m men sprint world record. Watch that 9.69 seconds of amazement, and see how he manage to cross the 100m line with ease. Arms flung in the air with a smile across his face as he poses for the camera with 20m to go! Hahah, i think his coach will kill him as he can easily clock a better timing of 9.60 second. lol!

On a side note, I really hope that the Singapore table tennis team can claim their first ever gold medal. The dream of the first Olympic Medal has been fulfilled, but i believed that it will a even better present for Singapore if they bring back the gold. It will prove to be a daunting test against the world champions China tonight, but the whole nation will behind the whole team! Even the prime minister national rally speech was postponed to Monday!

Come on, show the world that a small nation can succeed in the highest level of sports realm too.

Listening to Muse- Time is running out

~~Ares night~~ Red knight was really great, featuring generous buffet, humorous plays, soothing music, apa link speeches, spastic games, and really super imba performances by the special guests. The night was simply enjoyable and worthwhile given that one ticket only costs $6, but after all, it isn't a matter of being so calculative but a matter of bonding and enjoyment. I can see that the really hot and fiery ares spirit has been on a decline ever since the fac dance fever, coupled with other reasons such as the increasing workload and the upcoming exams and promos. Guess there is really a need to organise these events to prove that mugging is no life, but the faculty is not dead.

I have yet to regret for not running for fac com after witnessing how much ~~effort~~ sai gang they put in. Wee Kian is a candid example of being too over-committed which I have always try not to be in that kind of predicament. It takes time and perspiration to put up such a rather large scale event, and i understand that it isn't as simple as it appears to be. They have to prepare presents, conduct shortlist for performances, prepare MC scripts, get in contact with specially invited guest s, plead food vendors to decrease price, plead classmates to join in the fun despite the math lecture test on the coming monday- and those are the meticulous, yet pivotal elements that piece to form the full picture on the actual day. And sacrifices have to be made in order to make it happen.

In order to get back on the track of academics, i have made many sacrifices that i believed are the right choices. Not running for publicity ic is one, and the other is giving up the cashflow competition. Prizes are attractive (sony vaio laptops for god sake!) but opportunity costs are even higher. I hope i make the correct decision and hereby, wishes the other teams good luck, especially 08s78 ftw! Haha.

Anyway, i just realise that muse has really great music and i have been addicted to it since ~~ares night~~ red knight (opps, still don't understand why can't they just name it ares nite like aphelion nite) Anyway, they also have other great tracks like starlight, plug in baby and supermassive black hole. Lov'in it!

3 days into blogging and have been posting an entry every day since. I am not obliged to post since i don't get any readers everyday but I find that it is a good habit to cultivate. It helps to keep track of my life, making sure that I am on the right road before we start regretting why we didn't spend the time wisely.

not sure whether is it a good/bad news

Hahah, i am not sure how many muggers out there have already been off their mark to their destination, but the normal student here isn't mugging as much as others have perceived. Keeping up with the pace in blogging and project work means i devote less time into my studies and I have been forced back into my usual routine of waking up late in the nights to study, just like now.

I am trying really hard to get myself back into the ~~mugging engine~~ normal student engine and the next test coming up will be in like 6 hours time. I heard many have screwed up their Biology A' level Spa today and well, naturally reluctant to reveal some questions perhaps after being propagated by their teachers like, "you tell yours friends, they get better results, you are worst as compared to them in the bell shape curve, and you get lower marks".

Hence, i didn't really get much clues from them except that i know that it has to do with cutting of potato tubules and measuring of mass. Hahah, doubt people will read this given that it is like 3.00 AM now and moreover, not many actually know the presence of this blog.

I blog to push myself to work harder and do better. I really wish that promos will be the best birthday present I can ever get for this year. I really pray that there will be no major screw-ups later.

what should i start with?

lol it was a really "dunno what to write" title for this post. Anyway what should i start with? I really have lots of stuffs to blog about but i am not sure whether i should just blast everything in one post. Especially during this period of time when they are many interesting stuffs going on around me like the Beijing Olympics, National Day Parade, Charity Shield (Manchester won!), movies i watched recently like "Money not enough 2" and the ever on-going battle with academics and tests.

So the question rings again, "what should i start with?" Haha ok, why not lets start from the large scale events. Bejing Olympics- it has a near-perfect opening ceremony that simply marvelled me. I thought that cultural performance was rather intriguing to the world, who may not be exposed to China's rich history. It was well choreographed, no major screw-ups, very organised and i can see the years of effort and perspiration put into this 3 hour ceremony. I can't imagine how magnificent will the atmosphere be in the "bird's nest" on that day. How i wish i could be there to witness the moment of history...

And contrastingly, the next day, we have the National Day Parade (NDP). hmm, how should i phrase it? LOL lets be truthful and not politically-correct. I am sure everyone will agree with me that the NDP performance looks so mediocre as compared to the Olympics. Well, we always say that we shouldn't compare but as human being, its is unavoidable that you will put these 2 performances beside each other, especially when both are equally important evnets that are separated by less than 24 hours.

Undoubtedly, both form 2 contrasting impression on me. Hope you get what i mean... While watching the NDP performance, we were like "hahahaha, omg the parachutist fell!", "lol what the shit, what are they doing? forming a big lump of mess in the middle of the stage?", "wow, try to draw attention ah. people red light, you go on blue light", "wha you lagger, do one step slower than people!" , "err what is the link of this performance?" (maybe some of you may make such comments as well... =p)

Feeling bored, my grandfather eventually gave up and went off to bed even before the national anthem... that's the difference between top-notch professional years of planning and few months of planning by THE SAF.

I understand that its still lotsa of effort put in (my sis is one of the performers that have to go down for rehearsals near every week since march), but accept it that that's the kind of quality we can only expect for a typical NDP.

On a side note, the Olympics games were really interesting and you should take some time off your schedule to catch at least the round-up. The kind of adrenaline and amusement (americans make the chinamen look like fools in the basketball match, damn funny!) you get is really reminiscing. I still remember when i was young, like still in primary school, our whole family will gather, watch and cheer during finals of swimming and 100m race. This morning, my sis and I were watching the 4X100m freestyle relay and that kind of experience suddenly jolts back to reality while we cheered for the united states team which beat the Australian by a mere less than 0.10 second to break the whole record. The olympic spirit is amazing, and I admire those athletes who trained real hard to make their way to the Olympics, right at the peak.

Haha you see, i am enjoying life pia-ing PW while immersing in a wide range of sports (not physically hahah!). BUT NORMAL STUDENT MUST MUG! ZOMG OMG, there is one upcoming GP comprehension test on tue, followed by Biology SPA A'LEVEL! (can't afford to make any big mistakes), and a ECONS essay test this friday. Can't afford to slack anymore!

As a normal student, my duty is to study hard and do my best in tests.

I will keep up to my word! =)

Check out the time, 02:01AM! Athletes are most probably sound asleep while the PW chiongster is still here, but giving up soon. LOL, it sounds as if i am working really hard for project work but i can only say it is definitely better than last year HRP craze period when we have to finish a SIX THOUSAND research paper ALONE through the COUNTLESSS nights. College PW should be a "breeze" since we are trained after 4 years of HRP and PW =)

The more i work on the written report, the more I question the point of project work. Task requirements are more laxing when what you need to do is to craft a plan which you are not supposed to execute, but encouraged to carry out trials. Don't you find it ironical? Why not just make it compulsory for all groups to carry out the plans, instead of going round the bush and saying you have to carry out trials to evaluate your plans. That sounds so great about college PW- plans, plans, plans, they are just so concerned about how great you are in building castles in the air. I really hope to see a revamp that will move beyond the preliminaries of high school project's day.

Anyway, i really appreciate the kind of effort put in by my pw-mates =) its really great working with all of you, and thanks for your concern and understanding when i am sick for the past few days. The shape of the Written Report is soon forming, but still lots of doubts here and there which we have to clarify on tuesday. Well, there is progress towards the finishing line and that's a good sign=)

Hopefully, we can clear PW with A's and even fulfil this dream by making it a real SL project.

I am still contemplating its possibility- big plans, great journey only if commitment and time permits...

I really wish to make it a dream come true =)

Yea it really great to relish the blogging experience after near half year of hiatus. I have always been looking forward to blogging again after my really crazy involvement in all sorts of entrepreneurship competitions, and well, have been working hard to making this dream come true. I really wish that i can just let out all my feelings and ranting throughout my JC life.

It has been a few weeks since i start piecing this new blogskin together, and i was rather satisfied with this final product. Really clean, sleek, cool and definitely nice in my eyes. Although i have missed the auspicious date of 08.08.08, but i guessed it doesn't really matter since 09/08/08 was really that bad after all... it's Singapore's 43th birthday! yea, not as if i am really devoted to my country but dates doesn't really matter to me =p

anyway, i don't intend to spread the news that i have this new blog here because i really wish that it could be at least my PRIVATE blog space. So i do appreciate if you could keep it mmm if you do happen to chance upon here, and i hope you enjoy your stay. MVN 2.0 will be a new start for me.

i just have the sudden rush to blog something quick. perhaps just a short update on my life...

its really a lifetime experience, camping in starbucks from 5-12, met really lotsa people that you know (including teachers as well...), getting chased out and threatened to call the security guards by their staffs, desperate to the extent that we actually brought out laptops and sat down on the aisles of the shopping centres at orchard (!?), and even begged the security guard at the loading and unloading bay to let us use the power-point for our near dead laptops, and then clutching our hands in prayer that the wireless sg network doesn't crash at the 12am mark. and thats the 2nd night that i reached home only at 1 am in school uniform....

.thats the opportunity cost involved in business plan competitions
definitely memorable and hopefully worthwhile.

VBC is a really addictive game! Hahah the game is getting much more intense, fun and really lively! LOL, we can get to trade technologies with other people (lol i got like more than 5 traders), though the human resource is abit crappy and unrealistic. How is it possible for a company to pay like 1 million to a guy who will help you boost your sales by 20%? Freaking crap, just like how we lost last year's VBC. You think those employees are magical gods!?

Anyway i am like stuck in-front of the computer, or more precise the VBC game interface, for like straight 3 hours... zZZ Haha really no mood to start mugging for GP or even the ever crappy Chemistry. We are trying to get use to this new format of VBC and aren't really off to a perfect start. While darren and I are like meng discuss tactic, the other 2 members are stoning in the conversation window- 1 afk and the other talking crap (really talking some crap stuffs as if he is really contributing...) Hope that we can get back in time when everyone is asleep... hehehe =p (tmr sleep in lecture)

Creative in trouble - to sell it's singapore headquarters for 250 million

Creative Technology Ltd., a worldwide leader in digital entertainment products, today announced that the Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with a buyer for the proposed sale and leaseback of the Creative Resource building, which houses the corporate headquarters of the Company and its subsidiaries in Singapore.

The sale price for this proposed transaction is S$250 million (US$180 million), with a leaseback of the whole building for a period of five years with an option for additional periods of three and two years.

The proposed sale and leaseback transaction is conditional upon and subject to certain conditions, including but not limited to, satisfactory completion of legal and building due diligence by the purchaser, the Company's shareholders' approval of the transaction, and applicable regulatory approvals.

The proposed sale of the property constitutes a major transaction under Rule 1006 of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited Listing Manual and accordingly is subject to shareholders' approval at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company (EGM) to be convened at a later date. A circular to the Company's shareholders, together with notice of the EGM, will be dispatched to shareholders in due course. The circular will contain more details of the proposed transaction.

The proposed transaction is expected to be completed by the end of June 2008.

Creative expects to make a gain on sale of the property of about S$200 million (US$144 million) from this transaction. In accordance with US GAAP, this amount will be treated as a deferred gain and will be amortised and recognised in the Company's Income Statements over the lease term of five years.

Creative, possibly one of Singapore's proudest product, seems to be in real big trouble. Sales of its budget MP3s dropped and new MP3 like zen stone looks unappealing to the consumer market. Last year when i made a trip down to it's headquarters at industrial park, they claimed that the company is fine and is making steady profit over the years. But any analyst can easily find the loopholes within their reports. Ever since they won their lawsuit against apple for their patented mp3 interface, they have been facing a drastic decline over the years. They lost their market share in both the mp3 market and the sound blaster market. Hidden behind their ever looking strong branding may just be a crisis-stricken Creative with their frustrated CEO Sim Wong Hoo.

Now, they have released reports that they will be selling their Singapore headquarters - the one which i have been to for quite a couple of times. I really can't understand why a "supposedly profitable company" will be selling its headquarters. Well, there is a very high possibility that they are really in deep deep trouble...

Some questions to ponder...

1) Are they really in need of this big sum of money to turn against the odds?
2) Selling the headquarters is just a temporary solution to generate capital since the property market is very hot right now and the building can fetch a relatively high price.
3) Do you think it is a right strategy to sell the headquarter?

Well, i have been observing the creative 50 stock in SGX recently, hoping to earn another sum of money. =) Hahaha, just waiting for it to drop below the 6 dollar mark and it will be time to enter the market. (i am desperate for money!!! i want my macbook!)

the third math class test is probably the most confident test of the year, hopefully at least for now. Unlike the previous 2 disastrous tests planted with numerous traps (they are meant to kill!), this test is relatively more of a breeze. No major hiccups and there is still sufficient time to check the answer through =).

BUT BUT BUT i still have a careless mistake for question 2!!! Oh freak... I mistaken the question as the normal to the curve instead of the tangent! Oh crap, no full marks for math, but lets pray then it can be my first A of the term.

start-up boot camp ended and it was a great experience interacting with competitors and learning from successful entrepreneurs. no doubt it is time well spent, it also indicates that it is time to focus on my academics.

Yi Foong was saying, "You so good, got so many competitions and stuffs." But too many commitments is also one of the key pitfalls last year. I took back my O'levels and Year 4 grades lsat friday, and i can only hung my head in disgrace. Well, some may say that secondary 4 grades are nothing, forget about it and focus on A'levels. But the truth is that people are way ahead of you by the time you start to catch up.

I seriously need to devote my time to studies, and things have to be completed from this moment onwards. Few hours left before the start of a disastrous week, yet again....

i just wish that time could stop at this moment for me to take a break, for me to finish my projects, for me to catch up with piles of lecture notes and tutorials. With the gradual increase in pressure from a whole wide range of commitments, i just feel like collapsing.

Anyway i just came back from NUS Business school for the start-up semi-finals boot camp. The lectures was rather interesting, the finance was dry, networking makes new friends. I will be there for the whole day again tmr... and i am clueless how to catch up with academic stuff at this rate.

These are the latest updates with regards to the highly anticipated election results for the 35th student council. They are plenty of "duhs!" (obviously will get in), as well as surprises (expected to get it but didn't, or black horse that got in). So here i am, analyzing the latest list of results for those who are completely unaware of this latest news.

Starting from the APOLLO Faculty.

1. Darren Wong failed to get it despite his attempt to lip sing umbrella. =(
2. A brave attempt to run by the iParty but none manage to reach the finishing line
3. Shocking news as the ex-chairman of 4A, Wei Sheng, failed to get it. Instead the guy seating beside him, bridge-master Martin Widjaja, entered council!
4. Howard Chiu became the smallest councilor ever!
5. Others selected councilors for Apollo will include the norms like Dominic, Alfred, Qi Han, Jeremy Ang, Terence and IVAN.

Next up is the ARES Faculty (unexpected results indeed.)

1. The first big surprise is that NONE FROM THE HIV team got into council.

3. The best treasurer, Jia Jia, failed to secure his spot. Instead the 2 other Jia(s) entered council, namely Jia Chen and Jia Wei.

4. BOOM looks impressive but only the most enthusiastic and smart looking Zhao Bo (bobo) entered council.

5. Despite being labelled as arrogant, Khang Wen entered council.

6. Yu Meng failed to become a candidate for fac head.

7. Lotsa of random people, whom many didn't vote for, entered council surprisingly.

I am not sure about Artemis and Athena but the results look quite fine to me. If you wanna know more, check the results here. The results, especially ARES, looks really unconvincing to me. There are inside news that some candidates have been selected as "confirmed" councilor even before campaigning. Is that really democracy?

Hundreds of dollars and weeks of effort is worth it for those who made it to the end and entered council. But for the rest, i am sorry to say that...

Fret not, this isn't a fictional story; it is a true first hand information.

Relishing the Chingay Days...

The F1 car first featured on Singapore tracks during this year Chingay 2008. It was one of the star performers for the night, or instead 2 nights (rehearsal and actual day), and the piercing sound made me deaf for near 5 minutes. It was a great experience to have a live view of the F1 car and to witness it zoomed past you in lightning speed when you are just directly standing behind the barricade. I can only say the car was beautiful and the swerve and drift was awesome.

Have you seen the new double decker sbs bus?

I am sure most of you have at least boarded the new series of single-deck SBS buses, with the most common being 174 for me.

But what about a new double decker SBS bus?
well, it is the first time for me ...

Let me introduce you to some of the new add-on features which you may like to take a closer look when you board the new double decker sbs bus.

Tada, the first think that caught my attention is this glowing green electronic detector on my way to the 2nd deck. On a closer look...

53 seats available!? I guess this is a really cool function for commuters like us, who always find it a hassle to make a trip to the 2nd deck only to find that they are no seats available and have no choice but to make your way down again. But some questions to ponder...

How does this detector work? A detector over every seat like how car park systems work? And does the 53 seats refer to the second deck or the whole bus?

So we make our way up, and find a totally new layout!

There is no longer 2 straight rows of seats, but instead at the end of the deck, there are 2 rows that face each other and a vacant space in the middle. Seats are also change to yellow colour ones and the walkway is also slightly more spacious.

I was asking myself...

what is the point of making a vacant space in the middle when commuters cannot stand on the 2nd deck? Instead, we can actually fill the space with more seats by adapting the old layout...

The new design proves to a refreshing makeover from the previous one, but i am not sure if it is a really practical. Judging from the seats arrangement, lightings, type of seats and interior design of the bus, undoubtedly, it definitely looks better than the previous dull looking design, at least from my point of view. Well, there is always a debate of Aesthetic Design VS Function. And i always hold on to the belief that function/practical is always the fundamentals, and aesthetic design should always come later.

So do you think that the new designed SBS bus is a really practical makeover, or does it helps to solve problems like congestion and the lack of seats? I don't really find any new improvements, except that there are fewer seats, and more standing space.

thanks for your concern but i am quite fine now after spending a really good, good friday outside. =)

no CC= clean tombstones, but i had great fun as the day progresses. my dad talked to me and he said, "since ah ma so old already, you don't expect me to scold her right? just accept it, she is like that..." yeap, i guess the f*** really spurted out of anger and i think i should be more forgivable. she is still the kind grandmother of mine who brought me up from young. Let the matter rest and life still goes on...

Before i go to bed, i decided to showcast some really funny videos that i have been watching since last year december holidays. YouTube videos really became my everyday source of entertainment, especially 小豬&小鬼娛樂百分百 on Channel U (5pm-6pm). LOL i was surprised that there are also other classmates like lala, weekian and others who also enjoyed this programme too. I assure you, it is really damn funny. (though it is meant to be a entertainment news programme).

Since there is something really great, why not i share it with everyone else? I believe it can make your day! Lesson of the Day: Never assume stuffs.

Assumption is deadly.

You may be wondering what happen to me today... why actually drove me to wake up early in the morning of a public holiday and conclude the lesson of the the day is never to assume stuffs. This isn't a procrastinated post, the TODAY i am referring to is INDEED TODAY. Just in the space of 1 hour plus, i was freaking pissed off.

Our high school principal always mentioned his trademark phrase, "thats an assumption!", and up to today while i am on the other side of the campus, i still missed his really suave way of replying student's bombardment of arguments.

Mr Samuel Lim also likes to say "you can never assume stuffs when you are planning!". Now, i agree that assumption is deadly, and old folks always assume stuff and insisted that their assumption will turn true despite knowing that chances are low... They are really stubborn, and i don't understand why they just don't bother to validate their assumption although what it takes is just a phone call.

I agreed to be dragged out of the bed early in the morning today because i promised my grandmother that i will be following them to (扫墓= clean tombstones).

Well, i thought it will be great to experience how ppl 扫墓 , and since today was a public holiday, why not? Despite facing against all odds (no one believed that i will wake up =p), i crawled out of the bed and my dad fetched us to some relative house. Up to this point, i am completely unaware that i may face the possibility of elimination from survival.

It was until when we reached our destination and my grandmother started grumbling that i can only go if there are 2 cars- and she insisted that there will be despite being aware that there is only one car for the previous few years. So what happen was

we reached there,
saw there is only one car,
they alighted,
and asked my dad to fetch me home ...

i was like

WT(F)!

I always believe that life isn't a game of luck when you assume and predict stuffs that will happen. What's the difference between gambling and life then? Assuming stuffs only make things complicated. It fills up life with question marks, and only when you validate these assumptions, will questions marks be replaced by exclamation marks. Imagine your whole essay be vandalized with red ink question marks if there is nothing but assumptions. Sometimes, getting hard core facts right is very important.

haha you may find some resemblance to the post in the class blog, but this is part of the plan to keep my blog alive! haha ok i shall update on some snippets of my life- a rather short post before i doze off on bed. yeap, i have been having irregular sleeping cycles this week because of the disastrous maths test (lol i realize i really screwed it when kh shed some light on the answers in his blog), chemistry test, and other stuffs like BBI learning package.

Anyway first on the list is the class t-shirt design.

personally, i aren't really pleased with the design because it justs didn't meet my expectations... after all it is just a draft and i guessed that the final product will be much much much different from this.

Second is the ILP Video.

Yea, i finally manage to get it up on YouTube, so for those who missed or will like to have a good laugh again, you can watch it now! Hahah so sad that our video isn't featured during the ILP closing ceremony, but we still firmly believe that ours is still the best! =) ENJOY!

Next up is blogskin design.

I have received emails asking me when will next blogskin be launched. Initially i set a date for myself- march holidays. but you know i always don't keep to deadlins =p, so perhaps i can get it out by this long weekend? haha hope so =)

Lastly, it is the music playlist!

LOL, i guess my blog is moving towards the direction of not only my life, but also designs and good music! Hahaa, a reader from India actually tagged that he enjoyed the songs, especially MY WAY! haha, i was surprised, so is samuel. =) but anyway, there is a good sign that people actually enjoyed the songs updated in my playlist. i will continue to share more really good music that i liked, while trying to squeeze out time, like now, to update on my life.

Holidays always seem to past like a breeze...

I agree that time do run at different speeds.

Subconsciously, it seems to past like a breeze when you enjoy it, while it seems to tick second by second when you dread it. Although scientifically it may not be the case, you will tend to believe once you experienced it. Its true.

March holidays may just be one week short, but come to think of it, it can be made much more fruitful. Yeap, humans only know how to regret later but not cherish it earlier. Thats the case for me as well. One week has passed and things that i planned to do seem to be left unchecked. Last day of holidays and we suddenly come to a realisation that things are not done!

I thought....

"Why can i just sit down and mug for a few hours everyday? Just a few hours, and thats sufficient!"

Argh, i hate myself. Just the same old jeremy. Actually, i did try to mug and finish up stuffs, but those are the stuffs that should be supposedly finished last term. So in other words, i am actually FINISHING what others HAVE FINISHED -.- So really nothing proud of it.

TERM 2 will welcome us back with maths test on tuesday, ~~and rumours that there will be chem lecture test and math lecture test as well.~~ PLEASE NOTE THE WORD RUMOURS. =p Have to really start mugging hard for math test because i haven't touched it yet! ZOMG. My S.I.I.S is really gonna kill me if i fail it. Hhaha i shall keep S.I.I.S a mystery for now. wait until i top the class then i can claim to be a proud member. LOL.

Lots of stuff to update but i just cant squeeze them into one post. I don't really wish to drag it on and on, and make it seem as if it is an emo post before the start of term2. We should always try to be optimistic and look at the bright side of life isn't? Term 1 is just like an introductory term to JC life, and it isn't that packed with activities, competitions and projects. Minus orientation and time to settle down, in fact we only have a few weeks of real academic lectures and tutorials.

Come to think of it, i can really foresee how torturous term 2 life will be.

the rain is keeping me at home...

Sianz, how sad is it to have a wet holidays. I am finding holidays more boring than ever. 3 days down the (flooded) drain, and nothing much has been done...

When i was young, i always love rainy days- the smell of rain just keeps me refreshed and cool. But now, i begin to abhor it- especially when it rains continuously no matter rain or shine. Sounds rather contradicting but it does rain when it looks bright and warm and the weather forecast reported that it will continue to rain for the WHOLE WEEK! The weather is really unpredictable these days... disaster.

On sunday, i was back playing tennis at about 4pm. It was scorching hot then and i can barely see the green ball on the court. Played for 15 minutes and it was really bad. How am i suppose to hit an invisible ball? Then i switched sides with my sister, and things start to get better... The sky starts to dim down, and i thought "phew, that's much better". But all of a sudden, black clouds hovered the court and it started pouring...

Holy shyt, thats the start of a wet holiday season!

Next day, jonathan, ~~chou~~ chong and i was supposedly planning to play tennis but it rains (again)- this time so heavy that i can't even get out of the house. So we decided to play on the next day instead. The weather was pretty fine on tuesday, and i walked to bus-stop thinking "oh finally i can get to play some real tennis".

I was waiting for the bus patiently, and then a call came...

Jonathan: Hey i think you better don't come now, it started raining again and the court is rather wet....

*bus 61 came*

Jeremy: omg really? my bus just came!!!

Jonathan: yea i think you better don't come. next time then play ba haha

Disappointedly, i started to make my way back and the rain starts to pour.....

Are they really resting Van Der Sar for the "important" matches to come? Screw my ipod touch!

Holy shit... Really bad news.

As you may have know, i have jailbreaked my ipod touch after downgrading to 1.1.1 firmware. My ipod touch won't be that perfect if not for the jailbreaking masters and the programmes that come with it. I seriously can't imagine an 100% pure authentic ipod touch with just safari, music, and video in it. No more really intriguing games like snooker, izoo, puzzles and really useful functions like the portable dictionaries.

And 5 minutes ago, i just did the most stupid thing i have ever did. It seems that everything just changed back to before in just 5 minutes- my ipod touch is back to its ancient state. ZOMG!? i can't believe what i just did. i thought it was just like any other normal updates for iTunes and i just clicked yes and brushed it off my mind. it wasn't until i saw my ipod touch refreshing and updating that i realize i made the gravest mistake of the year!

Anyway life in Hwachong isn't really of to a great start. I am not sure if you call it a blessing in disguise or what. But i do believe that history do repeats itself: i fell sick again (ON A BIOLOGY TEST). Is it really pre-destined? Last year, i missed the bio class test and was forced to cap it at 70%, and this year, i was sick again. It wasn't a great experience lying down on the bed, feeling restless and dead for more than 12 hours. really zZZ!

Anyway i am feeling better now. Thanks to my grandmother and family for taking care of me, and not forgetting those who showed me your concern. The last thing on the list before March Holidays is the disgusting biology re-test. Hope i can at least salvage a pass for that....

After which, the march holidays will just be a week to catch with lot's of academic stuff while trying to have fun. I know it a really hard combination, but just have to bear with it.

LOL... In bid to do something really fun before i engaged in a battle with biology(i haven't started zomg!), i decided to spice up my blog with the guy that hit the headlines these few days- Mas Selamat!

Fret not, i am not going to blog about the common stuffs like what the hell is the Singapore's police force doing? How can a 1.56m shorty limped out of the highly-guarded prison? Where the hell is he now? Is he going to hijack a plane and crash into the Changi Airport again? If you wanna know more about the answer to these questions, i suggest you read the sunday times instead.

For now, i shall do my part in spreading the picture of Mas Selamat in a much more interactive way. It is called the
